Meet the faces behind Phillip Island Forever.
We’re Mitch and Will. Two mates who love MotoGP, but more importantly, the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit!
We were worried about what changes might come when Liberty Media took over MotoGP, but never in our wildest nightmares did we expect they’d take our — and the riders’ — beloved Phillip Island GP away.
It is not a stretch to say MotoGP formed the basis of our friendship. We were mere acquaintances at school until we were placed in a design class together and unearthed each other’s dirty little secret: a love of design and an obsession with MotoGP.
From there, the annual pilgrimage to Phillip Island became a ritual. With Will’s nuff levels at such heights, he’s been known to catch several buses from Melbourne just to watch pre-season testing from outside the circuit.
That annual weekend in October truly is our Mecca. Nothing warms our hearts more than hearing the riders wax lyrical about just how good this circuit and location are. Phillip Island is a place where we’ve holidayed, fished, surfed and, of course, witnessed some of the greatest motorcycle racing in history.
It might not be the best-attended race of the season, but those who do attend are some of the most passionate motorcycle racing fans in the world. Come rain, hail, lots of wind, or shine, they continue to make the pilgrimage year after year to this special place.
That’s why we were shattered when Liberty Media chose profits over passion and took our special race away from us. We needed to do something to commemorate the final race.
The Island deserves a special farewell.
With our combined love of design and MotoGP, we got to work thinking about how best to pay tribute. Flags have always been synonymous with MotoGP, and with no shortage of wind at The Island, we thought there’d be no better sight than hundreds — if not thousands — of flags flying proudly in the breeze.
Not just as a statement to Liberty Media, but as a thank you to what is the best motorcycle circuit on the planet.
So help us cover The Island in this grassroots, fan-led tribute by buying a flag and flying it proudly on the third weekend of October.

See you at The Island,
Mitch and Will
